Southwestern Dip Mix Gift - Free printable labels

Do you need a last minute handmade gift idea,
that's easy and tasty?

I got one for you!

It all started when I spotted these cute dishes at Michaels:

They were too small for baked gifts,
but I thought they were so cute, so I got them anyway.

Then I realized they would be perfect to serve a dip in.

Looking around online, I found a dip that sounded tasty.
So I mixed it up, and I tested it, and I served it to my family.
We all liked it, so I considered it a success.

I mixed up a big batch,
got Ball half pint wide mouth canning jars,
and filled them with the mix.

I printed a label with directions and stuck it on top of the jar.

(You mix one tablespoon of the mix with 1/2 cup of sour cream and 1/2 cup of mayonnaise.)

To protect the dish, I cut this shape with my Big Shot,
out of the protective material the cashier at Michaels had wrapped around my dishes.

I put the protective material in between the dish and the jar:

Then, I wrapped it in some clear plastic bags,
and tied it up with ribbon.

And they were ready to be gifted!

In case you want to make your own,
I am sharing the printable labels with the directions on it HERE.

Shared at Tatertots and jello.

We do, especially when they are as beautifully wrapped as this one we received from a sweet friend.
And look at these delicious treats...

I absolutely LOVE this hand-stitched card with embroidery, beads and buttons.

3D paper flower gift topper - tutorial

This is a simple and easy way to create a pretty paper flower as a topper for a gift.

It's similar to tissue paper pom poms, but much easier and quicker.

You only need one sheet of tissue paper, or other thin paper,
for example book pages or sheet music.

1. Cut about 8 squares of paper and stack
2. Fold it double twice
3. Trim the corners as pictured, cutting scallops
4. Unfold
5. Staple the centers together with one staple
6. Pull up first layer and crumple
7. Repeat for each single layer
8. You're done!

That's all there is to it. Simple, right?!

They're fun to decorate gifts, or decorate whatever else you can come up with!

Free Father's Day Printable - Scallop Tags

With Father's day around the corner,
I decided to create these scallop tags.

Use these free printable scallop tags to create cards, make cupcake toppers, decorate crafts, for scrapbooking, etc.

When the page is printed full size (8.5 by 11),
the scallops can be punched out with a 1 3/4 inch punch.

For personal use only.

Enjoy!

Party time!

There is something about wrapping gifts that I just love. Matching paper, ribbons and make a card to go with it is just so much fun. Once I have picked wrapping paper, I make a card and just try to match the colors or style.

And, sometimes I just like the colors of the gift itself SO much that I just don't want to 'hide' it. I have found that, in that case, I really like to use clear wrapping paper (cello wrap).

For bigger gift it's sometimes easier to use clear gift basket bags.

Let the party begin!
